Friends Of The Poudre Graphic

This is the main page for the Friends of the Poudre's coverage of the Triennial Review process for the South Platte River Basin. This is part of the Clean Water Act, a series of federal laws enacted over the past 30 years in an effort to improve water quality in America's watersheds.

Where the process is right now.

In early November, the Colorado Water Quality Control Commission held public hearings with regard to water quality in the South Platte River Basin. The hearings are held every three years (triennial) and decisions are made on the standards of water quality for various segments of the watershed.

We are currently waiting for a formal announcement from the WQCC as to changes that are pending for the Poudre River. (December 2000)
